Goji Kitchen & Bar - Dining at the Best International Buffet in Bangkok
If you are looking for the best International Buffet in Bangkok (and not to mention the most expensive…) look not further than Goji Kitchen & Bar at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel.
I was fortunate enough to be able to afford to come here for a Sunday Brunch (I’ll talk about pricing later), and even though the price is high, I think you’ll find no where else in Thailand that does an international buffet as good as Goji Kitchen & Bar.

Sunday Brunch at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis
Goji Kitchen & Bar is located within the first floor of the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel, a luxury hotel located around the Phrom Phong area. I’ve stayed at this hotel quite a few times and the quality and comfort is through the roof, as it should be for a star hotel. Plus it’s very popular with a lot of tourists opting to stay here.
Goji Kitchen & Bar Opening Hours
Goji Kitchen & Bar opens everyday, however the opening hours and the pricing varies by day.
The buffet is divided into 3 operating hours:
Breakfast Buffet - Opens daily, from 6:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Lunch Buffet - Opens daily, from 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Dinner Buffet - Opens daily, from 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM
I went on a Sunday for a Lunch Buffet. Some of the buffet food changes depending on the day, for example usually there will be a customizable pasta station, but on the Sunday that I went it was replaced with a breakfast foods station.
Goji Kitchen & Bar Pricing
This is where the varied pricing comes in:
Lunch Buffet, Monday - Friday: THB 1,299++ per person
Lunch Buffet, Saturday: THB 2,399++ per person
Lunch Buffet, Sunday (Signature Sunday Brunch): THB 2,699++ per person
Dinner Buffet, Monday - Thursday: THB 1,799++ per person
Dinner Buffet, Friday - Sunday: THB 2,399++ per person
I recommend you purchase a buffet package online before you go to Goji Kitchen & Buffet, as there is always a long line in front of the buffet and the tables and seating fills up rather quickly.
Is it expensive? For me, as a local who earns a modest income, yes, definitely.
Is it worth it? If you eat a lot like I do then yeah sure, it’s worth it.
Exploring the Goji Kitchen & Bar International Buffet
Goji Kitchen & Bar is more like a Kitchen rather than a bar, there is a wide selection of cuisines and food options on offer here. One good thing is that at most stations, you are allowed to take as much food as you want, while some stations (the steak for example), the chef will portion your food according to how much you want.
I’ve only been to the Lunch buffet, so I’m not sure how different is the Dinner buffet. The foods are hearty, these aren’t your light one biter dishes, there are foods like noodles, dim sum, salads, steaks, etc… The only thing that is missing oddly enough, is rice…
Right, enough with the delay, let’s get to actually exploring and eating through the Goji Kitchen & Bar International Buffet!
Meat Meat Meat and More Meat!
First station of the Goji buffet (and my favorite) is the meats, or more specifically steak station! Here the steaks are grilled fresh over an open charcoal flame. by default the steaks are served medium rare but you can ask the chef to cook it a bit longer if you like which also allows for the steaks to develop a nice crust.
There are always 4 types of steaks/meats available: A rack of Lamb, Wagyu Rump, Prime Rib, and Crispy Pork Belly. My favorite is the Prime Rib, the crispy pork belly is also good but is too oily and fatty, not good if you are trying to eat everything at a buffet.
Off to the side there are extra condiments and sides you can add such as a lamb jus, pepper sauce, mashed potatoes, grilled garlic, whole grain mustard, etc…
One thing I would criticize is that the steaks are under seasoned, it could use some more salt.
My usual order would be a a portion of every meat with mashed potatoes, gravy, and a few cloves of grilled garlic. Delicious.
Seafood, Fresh Sashimi and Sushi
With turf you also need surf, and the surf selection at Goji Kitchen & Bar is plentiful. The highlight is definitely the fresh Oysters from Holland and France. To be honest, I don’t particularly like Oysters but these guys are an exception.
Pair these fresh oysters with some classic spicy and sour Thai seafood sauce and some fried garlic chips and you’re one step closer to the gates of heaven.
Oysters aren’t the only thing on Goji’s seafood menu, they also have king crab and grilled prawns.
When you think of Seafood, especially in Asia, you’ll often think of Japanese sushi or sashimi. There is a whole corner dedicated to this cuisine offering a variety of sushi, and sashimi wherein the chef will slice out your portion fresh.
This is just a me thing, but I don’t particularly enjoy buffet sushi… something about the room temperature raw fish… But that’s just me, I see plenty of other people enjoying it so have at it. Plus we’re talking about the Marriott here so I’m sure cleanliness and food safety is paramount.
Classic Thai Food! Noodles, Som Tam, etc…
Of course you can’t have a buffet in Thailand without some Thai food. Goji Kitchen & Bar has an assortment of classic Thai dishes to choose from, but the main ones are Som Tam Papaya Salad, and Noodles. On this particular day, they also had a Seafood Tom Yum station.
The Thai food section takes up the whole middle section of the buffet, and it’s also my dad’s favorite section. He’s an old man, prefers the classics.
These noodles are customizable as well, with your choice of meatballs, noodle types, soup bases, etc…
If you are looking at the Shabu Shabu station you’ll also have access to the classic Thai hot pot dipping sauces.
Honestly, my focus isn’t on the Thai food, I mean, I live here so I can eat these dishes basically whenever I want. But I can’t deny that the spread of food here is very impressive and high quality.
I mostly see diners eating the expensive stuff like crab legs, which is fair, gotta get your money’s worth.
Assortment of Cold Cuts, Bread, and Cheese
Now this is my second favorite station of the entire Goji Kitchen & Bar International Buffet, the Cold Cuts and Cheese station!
Starting with the cold cuts, you get the basics like salami and parma ham, but today was a special day, they brought out the (Jamón) Iberico ham! I’ve never had Iberico ham before so you best believe I went ham on it ;)
Off to the side you also have a shelf full of different types of breads to choose from, my favorite being the Focaccia, an Italian flatbread. As well as essential charcuterie condiments like olives, artichoke, sun dried tomatoes, walnuts, etc…
I can’t talk about cold cuts without talking about the cheeses! There’s so much cheese. From creamy and rich Brie to a nutty and sharp Mimolette cheese. You could come to Goji Kitchen & Bar just to have some charcuterie and you’ll be satisfied.
I’m no cheese connoisseur so my preferences are basic, my favorites are the Brie and Blue Cheese. I especially like to pair chorizo or a spiced meat with blue cheese, oh and some walnuts as well!
Can’t Forget Dessert!
Hope you saved some room for dessert! At Goji Kitchen & Bar you’ll find an assortment of desserts. The dessert station is divided into 2 parts, traditional Thai desserts where you’ll find classics like Mango Sticky Rice, as well as lesser known (at least outside of Thailand) delights like Bua Loi, and Khanom Tako, small bite sized custard-like desserts wrapped in Banana leaf.
The also have one of my favorite Thai desserts, Khanom Ba Bin which are like mini coconut pancakes with bits of shredded coconut or taro.
If you want and more international flair, there is no shortage of that at Goji Kitchen & Bar. From various cakes, muffins, chocolates, and much more.
Note that the dessert selection changes quite often though.
My favorites from this section are the Strawberry Macaron, Lemon Tart, and the Cafe Mocha Panna Cotta.
The desserts are always my favorite part of any buffet, but it’s a shame because I tend to be full from all the other foods by the time I get to the desserts…
Other Dishes and Buffet Stations
Aside from the main food stations above, there are also foods that rotate depending on the day.
Usually there would be a customizable pasta bar where you can choose your own sauces and noodles, today it has been replaced with a “Duck and Waffles” station complete with fried eggs and bacon.
One time there was even a Foie Gras station, something to look forward to if you feel fancy.
Scattered throughout the buffet there are more dishes to try, like soups, steamed fish, there is always a huge chunk of salmon available but the sauce changes.
I particularly like the Indian food section, there they have Naan bread, and a few choices of curries and chutneys on offer. I just love Indian food in general.
At the back area of Goji Kitchen & Bar, hidden away from the main dining area there is station serving mainly salads, and pizza. For today’s menu they were serving freshly grilled river prawns, and let me tell you the line for those was loooooong.
Round 1: All the Cheese and Charcuterie!
For Round 1 of eating through Goji Kitchen & Bar’s International Buffet, I loaded my plate with all sorts of cheeses and cold cuts to create this ugly looking charcuterie board plate.
Though it does look ugly and messy, the taste was anything but.
My favorite item from this plate was definitely the blue cheese. And honestly I was quite disappointed with the Iberico ham, to me it doesn’t taste like much, in fact it was rather oily and slimy. Other than that everything else was good.
Round 2: Lamb, Ribeye, Crispy Pork Belly
Round 2 of my meal, I went for the big guns, a plate full of meats and a nice spoonful of mashed ultra smooth and creamy mashed potatoes on the side, all drowned in that flavorful lamb jus.
Today they had BBQ Pork Ribs and you know I gotta get some of that. Oh and I took a little Swedish meatball as well. My favorite thing here is the Prime Rib, tender, and flavorful.
Despite the lack of seasoning, this plate was delicious mainly due to the tenderness of the steaks and the flavor from the lamb jus.
Round 3: A little Taste of India
For round 3, I decided to go for Indian food, one of my favorite cuisines. Usually they have Chicken Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken which are delicious, but today they had a different type of curry which I am not familiar with.
It was a chicken curry with a hint of like a citrus flavor. It was ok, not as good as the Butter Chicken though.
I kind of regretted eating this plate, not because it tastes bad but because the Paneer Cheese curry that I got was dense and it felt like it took up a huge chunk of my stomach’s space.
The Naan bread isn’t fresh though, and it’s a bit tough to chew.
*I had many more plates after this round but I just forgot to take pictures because I was too busy eating, sorry about that haha…
Conclusion
Pros
Good selection of foods from seafood, to meat, to fruits, to desserts, etc…
Great service and nice atmosphere to just relax and eat
The dishes change frequently so there is always new things to try if you dine here again
Cons
Expensive, maybe the most expensive buffet in Bangkok or even Thailand
Some foods could be better but that’s just the nature of buffet food, not every dish can be perfect
Overall if you go the money, I highly recommend you come to Goji Kitchen & Bar International Buffet. Though it is expensive, Goji is known to be the best international buffet in Thailand. With great service, great delicious food, and a great variety of options there is so much to like at Goji Kitchen & Bar.
The only real downside is that personally for me, the pricing is expensive. So I would only see myself coming here on very special occasions or maybe twice a year.
